โดย ออปติฟาสท์ เป็นผลิตภัณฑ์อาหารทางการแพทย์เพื่อลดน้ำหนักที่มีสารอาหารหลากหลายและเหมาะสม โดยใน 1 ซอง ให้พลังงานทั้งหมด 215 กิโลแคลอรี โปรตีน 20 กรัม โปรตีนมีส่วนช่วยเสริมสร้างและคงสภาพของมวลกล้ามเนื้อ คาร์โบไฮเดรต 18.8 กรัม น้ำตาลฟรุคโตสต่ำกว่า 0.5 กรัม อีกทั้งผสมใยอาหาร 3 ชนิด ใยอาหารเพิ่มกากใยในระบบทางเดินอาหาร ช่วยกระตุ้นการขับถ่าย และมีไขมันไม่อิ่มตัวเชิงเดี่ยว (MUFA) รวมถึงวิตามินและแร่ธาตุที่หลากหลาย เพื่อให้ร่างกายได้รับสารอาหารอย่างหลากหลายในช่วงที่จำกัดพลังงาน สามารถใช้แทนมื้ออาหารได้ 
พ.อ. หญิง พญ. สิรกานต์ เตชะวณิช อายุรแพทย์โภชนศาสตร์คลินิก กล่าวถึงความสำคัญและวิธีการลดน้ำหนักที่ถูกต้องไว้ว่า “ในปัจจุบันมีวิธีลดน้ำหนักมากมายซึ่งอาจเห็นผลในระยะสั้น แต่หากไม่ได้รับคำแนะนำจากแพทย์หรือนักกำหนดอาหารร่วมด้วย อาจส่งผลเสียต่อร่างกายในระยะยาวได้ เช่น การกินอาหารคีโตที่เน้นกลุ่มไขมันเป็นหลักอาจได้รับอาหารที่มีไขมันอิ่มตัวสูงเกินไป จากพวกเนื้อสัตว์ติดมันต่างๆ เนย กะทิ จึงเสี่ยงต่อโรคหัวใจและหลอดเลือดตามมา หรือใช้วิธีจำกัดพลังงานอย่างเข้มงวดด้วยการอดอาหาร ทำให้ร่างกายได้รับสารอาหารไม่เพียงพอโดยเฉพาะโปรตีน จึงเกิดการสูญเสียทั้งไขมันและกล้ามเนื้อในร่างกายมาก แม้น้ำหนักลดลงอย่างรวดเร็ว แต่การเผาผลาญของร่างกายก็ลดต่ำลงไปด้วย ดังนั้นหากกลับมารับประทานอาหารเพิ่มขึ้น จะทำให้น้ำหนักเพิ่มขึ้นอย่างรวดเร็ว วนเป็นวัฏจักรต่อไป
